I don't see why it wouldn't be an option. My '02 V6 had the 'Performance Package' or whatever they called it, that came with the same dual exhaust (not true dual though) as the Z28 and tighter steering (still the best steering feel I've ever felt in a car).

The new Camaro is supposed to have true dual exhaust though.

OMG Im so glad someone actually put up this thread. I always wanted to find out. I really do hope so because now days, cheap four cylinders cars are coming out with dual exhausts. Hopefully we see them on the production version.

sorta kinda vaguely along the same lines of this thread, I noticed while looking at the GM Powertrain website that the non direct injection 3.6L V6 in some SUVs/Crossovers had an option for dual exhaust or not. The ones that were optioned with duals were rated at 275hp. Actually, power ranges from 240hp@6000 in the LaCrosse up to 275hp@6600 in the dual exhaust Acadia/Outlook/Enclave. The numbers for the direct injection models coming in 09 aren't available yet.

Yes they are. 2009 DI 3.6 spec sheet:
http://media.gm.com/us/powertrain/en...6/09_LLT_n.xls

According to the info given today all Camaros will have duals.

I meant the specs for the DI 3.6 in the 2009 SUVs/Crossovers.

The specs for all 2009 vehicles with the DI 3.6 were included in the that link I provided. (The GM Powertrain site seems to be down at the moment though).

So many cars nowadays come with dual exhaust that I'd be surprised if it doesn't.

1. Even a lot of Grand Prixs/Maximas/etc come with dual exhaust.
2. They'll be able to use the same bumper on V6/V8 cars.

There's no reason to ever be surprised now. We already know that all Camaros will have dual exhaust.
