The gray concept was seen first, but was it built before the red concept?

It's silver, not gray.

I think the red one was done first, but I'm not sure. Subscribing to find out the answer.

I know the clay clown cars were silver when they were deciding on the design direction.

But I have no clue about the concpet itself.

I think the order is this...

Silver One got done 1st.... they had a much bigger reaction that they anticipated so they build a roller Red Concept to show it to more people. Then they had such a great reaction that they did the orange and around the same time they sent out the panels for the BumbleBee one.

I know that isn’t right because one of the first pictures to leak right before the unveiling was of the Red concept.

The Red concept was actually the first picture I ever saw of the 5th gen.

the must have been built at the same time.

Then the one down under and the vert later on.

I thought the silver one car pics were leaked first. The one that showed it with two different facias on the same car. Then the red ones leaked a couple days later?

Do you remember the date you saw it?? Because then we may be able to compare it to others "first sightings" and figure this mystery out!

That was a clay model -- not the silver car that later made the official debut at NAIAS in 2006.

I cant believe noone who posted knows this, considering who posted.

Here is the order

1.)Silver concept

2.)Red push car

3.)orange convertable

The reason I know this, was from when Scott was talking about where the cars were debuting. To paraphrase really badly Scott said "The silver car obviously went to Detroit, and if there was time for a second car it would go to the California show."

The red push car was NOT a result of the reaction as they debuted the same day... Infact as mentioned pics of the red car were leaked first, barring the clown car pics.

I was told that the description/plaque of the red car at the autoshows said it was the first one built.

I think we know that the red push car was not a reaction build. Was the red push car or silver runner built first, that is what we are trying to figure out.

IIRC, silver car 1st, followed pretty much right after by red push car, then a 2nd silver push car done for the engineering team in Australia.

I thought it was the silver one and then two red push cars followed by the convert.
