Camaroz28.com Custom Die-cast Car Information!
The following information is largely outdated. Please go to:
http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508310
.
.
.
.
.
Introduction:
CamaroZ28.Com is working with GreenLight Toys to produce a high quality limited edition CamaroZ28.Com custom die-cast Camaro Concept!
All of the details from the start of this project can be found here:
http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=432092
But here are the basics...
- Limited to approximately 1,500 pieces
- Each one individually serial numbered
- Custom car design and wheels
- Special CamaroZ28.Com graphics, text, etc. on both sides of the packaging, including matching trading card
- Special "CZ28.COM" license plate on the cars themselves
- Officially Licensed by GM!
Now for the information that everyone has been waiting for!
PRE-ORDERING INFORMATION
- Barring any unforeseen circumstances, pre-ordering information will be made available at midnight EST of March 10, 2007 (this Saturday night). It will be a web page hosted on CamaroZ28.Com. So have your PayPal or Google checkout information ready!
- At that time, packaging mockups along with a 3D rendering of what the car will be modeled after will be presented on the pre-order page.
- The price will be $9.99 each plus shipping via USPS Mail, just as expected.
HERE IS WHY YOU WANT TO PRE-ORDER
- Since the cars are individually and sequentially numbered, they will be sold in order up to #500. In other words, the sooner you pre-order, the lower your serial number number will be! Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a particular number.
- We are also planning to make it so the first 150 cars (numbers 1-150) which is approximately 10% of the total production run to also come with a certificate of ownership, signed by myself and Chris Frezza and individually numbered to match the corresponding car number. (SOLD OUT!)
- The first 150 pre-orders will also have the option to be signed by myself, Chris Frezza and Scott Settlemire.(SOLD OUT!)
(The following "greyed out" text is out of date as of 4-7-07)
And for the best part of all...
- Every 25th pre-ordered car will also come with a VERY limited edition "Green Machine" chase car! What does this mean? Green Machine versions are GreenLight's separate numbered run, and can be considered a "limited edition of the limited editions" in this case. They will account for approximately 5% or less of the regular production run of the CamaroZ28.Com cars. They will be very rare and quite valuable and every 25th pre-ordered regular production car will have a Green Machine version to go with it.
- Here is an example of a Green Machine version of the Camaro Concept on eBay
- We plan to also make certificates of ownership for the Green Machine versions as well.
- We will be doing this up to the first 500 pre-orders, making a total of 20 Green Machines to be given away.
Of course all details subject to change if beyond my control, but all this is the plan.
I will be posting complete pre-ordering information in this Site News and Updates forum at midnight this Saturday night EST. BE READY!
I would like to thank the following sponsors for helping to make this project happen:
- Custom SSI
- F-Body Vinyl
- Full Throttle Speed
- HotPart.Com
- Maryland Speed
- SLP Performance Parts
- TByrne Motorsports
- Thunder Racing
- Victory Racing Engines
If you have any questions, feel free to post them here in this thread!

It is very very easy. Just remember your Google Checkout user name and password and make sure you have it set up and ready to go!

Great, I'll be ready at 9pm PST! Now to decide on how many to get.
But where will the page link be at? Will it be here or on the main page? I just want to know where to look first.
