L.E.D. Lighting system?

Do you think it should be an option for L.E.D. Headlights along w/projectors on all Camaro models? Like being able to order a bone stock v-6 with higher end head and taillight set up? I've seen the L.E.D.'s on the new 350Z head lamps and they really look classy and set the car off. What about L.E.D. taillamps , would you want you're new Camaro to have them? I think they make the car look cleaner, more advanced obviously and more sophisticated. Maybe it woulden't be right on a Muscle car...tell me what you think.

Should be an option and standard the higher models if not all of them.

LEDs all around! The taillights that use LEDs instead of bulbs have a much quicker response for braking and the split second is important for older drivers that have a perception-reaction time longer than 2.5 seconds.

I think it would be nice if HIDs & LEDs were an option.
I'd probably spring for it.

Will HID's comply with the "Glare" regs on production cars??...
I heard they were getting tougher on extremely bright headlights..
Maybe they can lightly tint the headlight enclosures??...

LED headlights like the concept had would be completely out of the question . They are just now starting to show up in concepts on high end lux cars as a possiblity down the road .

I will be very upset if they lose the look of the headlight the concept had though . Which means a projector headlight , surronded by the halo . The mustang like traditional headlight reflector in the Bumble Bee Orange car looks really bad imo . Some very low end cars even have HID now . There shouldnt be any reason they could not use the adaptive Bi-Xenon(high/low beam HID in 1 bulb ) projector out of the Opel Astra headlight or the Bi-Xenon DTS projector , as at least an option . For a standard headlight , the Caddy DTS uses a single bulb and has halogen base headlights , Use that projector . They got plenty-o parts bins to pick from on HID's parts and different halogen and HID projectors housings .

The vette projectors are designed with a separate projector for the high beams and the reflectors are designed to be used as such . The Camaro uses 1 projector which would need a Bi-Xenon specific designed projector housing , which is small selonoid contolled shutter within the housing that refracts the light from 1 bulb into a high beam pattern . The only GM cars I think that have this is the DTS , XLR and the Opel Astra , all the other GM cars with HID Im pretty sure all use a projector low beam and a traditional non-projector halogen high beam reflector ..... CTS , SRX , STS , Escalade , Outlook , Saab 9-3 for example .

Ahh I gotcha. I never actually looked too close at the concepts headlights. I'm basically from the school of "give me a monster V-8 in a nice looking body, make it affordable, and stop overanalyzing everything" lol.
