does anyone make a pipe to fit the stock placement of the cats? I am looking for something to bolt to the stock exhaust manifold and line up to theh y-pipe so i can remove the cats.

You can get an SLP off road y pipe for a little over 130$.

man if you're planning on headers later...why waste the money???
the cats are probably costing you 5hp or so...is that worth a $200 orp setup?? specially if you plan to upgrade in a year or so??

no, i agree. it was worth it if i could get some makeshift pipes to fit for 50 bux. but for 200 and a massive headache...im just gonna wait for the headers. though, i still havent decided on them. i really like the kooks because of the clearance, but i cant afford them. i have heard good things about the pacesetters and they are in my price. so we will see...i still want to talk to more people first. also, im not looking forward to that instal...

page 11 on the cardomain site in my signature...it really isn't that hard.
it just takes time due to space constraints.
i'd never done a header swap before, all by myself taking my time i did it in 10hrs

you gotta be carefull doing that. if you gouge the insides too bad then you can create a stall point. all you want to do is remove the screens. im just gonna do LT's and ditch the cats.

i was curious also, if i were to get shorty headers and not put cats on there, how would that compare to longtube, and how much of a power loss

shorties arnt that much better over stock. cats cost you about 5hp on any application (stock, shorites, or LT's). IMO, shorties are a waste of money, unless you live in Cali and are trying to pass emissions.
