whos running ARE Le Mans wheels

I am running some old american racing Le mans wheels and I am looking for someone that may have 2 17x9.5 ones. Im runing 11" ones on the back but they are very wide. maybe a little to wide for my car. Just looking to see if these wheels still exisit out there. I bought mine off the owner of MBA product a long time ago. I think he last name was LeBlanc or something. he had his Z in GMHTP with the wheels on it.

Nice IROC!! haha kidding..I'm a 3rd Gen Z28 owner(non IROC) as well.

I can honestly say i've never seen a cowl hood look good with many other 3rd gens.It definitely fits with the colour of your car.I was lookin for a long time to get a cowl hood for my car,I just couldnt find any that i thought looked good.Which brand is yours?.I ended up with a custom fibreglass hood with an L88 scoop to cover my air cleaner.

Th hood in the pic is a Harwood 3 or 4" hood. I use to have a 2 or 3" harwood on it but wanted somethig bigger to be one up on the local guys. Well,i got sick of that huge distraction in my view so I sold the cowl hood and bought a SS hood. No pics of the hood yet here is an old pics of the car with that other hood and ss wheels. You may notice in the pic at the top that my headlight buckets are NOT painted black. I put that new nose on the car and the painted forgot to paint them black. That is on my list along with tinted windows. I will also end up apinted the ss hood silver and the scoop wil be black.

Cool..Looks good! The SS hood's look awesome on our cars. My headlight buckets got painted black too..It didnt even cross my mind when i brought the car in for paint.Went back a few days later to pick the car up and noticed they were black.I find it add's to the look of the car, especially if you have other black parts/accents on the car.

Thumbs up

Unfortunately, they are no longer made...I have 17x9.5 and 17x11's on my 85 Corvette and get nothing but compliments, and/or people asking me where they can get a set, LOL...

WWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW your car looks awsome with those wheels. I havent seen these wheels polished on a car since mine where on the last z28. SO I guess you got no intentions of selling them huh. Do you know when these wheels where produced or if they are a low production wheel? What are the specs on your 11"? I have the same ones but dont know the offset and backspacing on mine. they came off a 4th gen

Thanks a lot! The only time I have ever seen these wheels on any car was about 10 years ago. Cervini's (the company in Jersey that makes/sells fiberglass hoods and ground effects), had a joint venture with Kenne Belle and made a custom Mustang that was called a Virtoso or something like that. I've only seen them on 94-98 Mustangs and Corvettes. I'm pretty sure these were the only two sizes also. I can only assume they are low production as yours only the third set I've seen recently. The second set I am trying to buy myself, as spares. FWIW, I found this thread by Google-ing American Racing LeMans wheel, LOL...That should tell us both something right there.

As you'd probably guess, I have no intention of selling mine. Sorry bro....

I do plan to remove mine very soon for the Winter months, so I can give them a very nice polishing for next year, and I will be sure to measure the backspacing for you.

The set that I have now where once on a 4th gen Z28 that was owned by the owner of MBA motorsports. I think they are out of buisness now. This is a site I just found with his car and the wheels before I bought them off him.
http://www.malcams.com/legacy/. I think he made a custom set of billet center caps because I do not have the stock ones. Mine have the Z28 logo milled into them. I also just found 3 more 9.5" wheels for spares. 1 is perfect, the other two need a little work. One of them is bent pretty bad and the other I think can be fixed. Im trying to do the same thing as you as find some spares in case of an accident or something.
