Re: Storing For The Winter

I generally put the SS away in the garage around November. If there is a nice dry day, without any roadsalt during the winter, I will also take the SS out for a short ride.

Anyway, I fill the gas tank and add 'Stabil', change the oil and filter, and place a trickle charger on the battery.

I've been doing this for the better part of 6 years with no problems.

Re: Storing For The Winter

How long will the car be stored?

If it's only going to be a couple months (let's say a maximum of four), a full gas tank and a clean, dry place to stay are all it needs. If you have a way to keep mice and other rodents from getting in and nesting in the engine bay (or anywhere else in/on the car), do it.

Stabilizer is overkill for that short of a storage time.

An oil/filter change right before you put it away is a good idea.
