We hate spammers!! It's becoming more and more of a problem, especially on our Message board. If you see Spam, please just report the post to us so we can kill it - please don't reply to it. Speaking of spammers, one of the latest spammers to our website actually has a phone number so we decide to give em a call and see why they are spamming us. We think it's makes some entertaining listening.

This is the first one I've listened to. The sound quality seemed alright, but one of you were a bit close to the MIC then the other one. Other then that, it was put together well.

Suggestions:

- More banter? It was somewhat of a dry show. You guys need someone to be a "ying" to your "yang". I know it's not a radio show, but something to give it a different direction once in a while. Just something.........off the wall.

- Highlight something/thread. I did like the idea of "Thread of the Week". That was cool. Perhaps expand this some to highlight something else as well. Perhaps someone's car for sale, or a Group Buy - not to pick a favorite, but go into the a forum and the first topic you see, comment on it. Something to let a potential buyers know what's going on....just something.

- Highlight a member. Sort of like the spot light on the above "GP" idea, but go into the lounge and pick someone who just posted within a month (that way you know they are an active member). Just drop their name in the pod cast and if they email/call before the next postcast, they win a hat/shirt/sticker, etc.). People will want to listen to see if won something. Hell, you could comment on their car (if they have pic's) and talk about their car. That would be cool: "So and so has a blah blah blah. He's done the following and it's looking pretty sharp. Way to go so in so.".

- Welcome thread. Sort of like a random member, but welcome a new member. Make them feel welcome to our home here on the web. You're call on a sticker or something here, but sometimes just hearing your name is pretty cool.

- No M11 info. I know that not everyone can go to M11, but it is a cool event that is being hyped up in the Michigan section. Even if some members can't make it, it would still be cool to talk about to let them know what cz28 is doing. Also, they have the chance to meet you guys.

Now, this is the 1st cast that I've listened to, so you could be doing this stuff - these are just suggestions from the only one I've listened to.

Let me know if my idea's suck or not.

That was the first one with the new equipment with minimal tuning. We will be improving on that, for sure.

Heh...you haven't listened to our previous podcasts, right? Check them out!

And calling the spammer was WAY out of our usual scope...but it was kinda fun.

Nice idea...feel free to submit one! We like to have people interect more with the Podcast.

stick it to the spammers!! that was great! I would ;ove to hear what the supervisor would have to say about it. Great podcast guys! Sound a lot clearer with the new equipment

Great podcast, I enjoyed listening to it.

My feeble idea would be to make a thread in the lounge inviting people to pm you their phone #'s, and then you randomly call someone while you make the podcast. Probably wake'em up, make them miss work, and all that, but it could be potentially fun.

I agree. Another option would be a post/chat message when you guys start recording, announcing that you'll be taking X callers in the next 15 minutes...

Jason and Chris, what new audio equipment did you get exactly and what was your old studio equipment like? Im guessing that you picked up a better mixer and some mic's?

Im an old radio and electronics nut toying with the podcast idea.

For the last year, we were just using a conference room type microphone that Jason and I would sit around and talk into and record. We just picked up an Alesis 8 USB mixer and some Cardioid mic's. This has really helped in the production, and post production of the show.
