That article mentioned something about Pontiac wanting royalties because of not using the Firebird, but they could always use the upcoming GTO in place of the Camaro as the K.I.T.T. car??

I’m told that one reason the movie K.I.T.T. will NOT appear as an older-styled Trans Am (as in the series) is because Pontiac is demanding gigantic royalties to do this.
i don't see how people are getting the idea that pontiac want's royalties because of NOT using a TA

). Apparently I conveyed the wrong message, but I still stand behind them using a Pontiac for KITT (as opposed to the Camaro) but since there WON'T be a Firebird (in the foreseeable future) then the GTO is the only option.

, but there was a lengthy thread over on LS1Tech about a 2009 Firebird, in which that idea was 100% shot down, but apparently (according to a couple guys there, seemingly "in the know") 2009 GTO is a go??
