Re: Trunk????????
We don't know what the trunk looks like yet. In the concept it had a lot of the accessories and other fun stuff that weren't in the engine bay, which is why it looked so clean. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, it had the parking brake and a bunch of electrical stuff in it.

Re: Trunk????????
As far as I know, the trunk has not been shown because it's full of light show equipment . . .

Not quite. The engine bay is so clean compared to say, a 4th gen. This is because everything that looks like clutter was moved to the trunk. It is kind of a mess back there, but there isn't much as far as light show stuff. Hit the link above.

Re: Trunk????????
Regardless of what was in it, what did it "look like"?? Was the opening big? Big enough to fit something like a tire, or 2 or 3?? Big boxes?? Does it look like they could make the opening extend down to the top of the bumper instead of being predominantly on the top of the "deck"? I'll agree with others that while this may be a "small" issue (no pun intended ) on the grand scale of things, it still is an issue that shouldn't be over-looked. It's something that has typically ruled out most F-bodies as practical "grocery getters" . The new car needs to be practical for everyday "life" for the masses .

Re: Trunk????????
I just put the extra groceries in the interior storage space... Or back seat.
I guess when you add up the fact you cant fit a microwave box anywhere other than the passenger seat, and that you have to lift stuff up high to get it in the trunk which is small and its hard to get stuff out of the back it seems less than useable. But how lazy do you have to be to buy a car based on an extra two minutes of work twice a month.

The GTO was widely panned for having a small trunk, yet i have never needed to put groceries or luggage in my backseat. While it looks small because it's shallow, it's very tall, and it opens wide so it's easy to get stuff in and out of. If the new camaro has a smaller or less usable trunk than the GTO, i can already read the bad press now.
don't forget they're not just trying to sell these cars to single men. Some will be bought by family people, who may have kids to put in the backseat.

Re: Trunk????????
i've put bigger stuff than a microwave in mine and i never used the front seat.
i think the easier you make the car to use the easier the sale.
mustangs a considered "easier to live with" and that's why the sell well...so why not one up them on the "easier to live with" side(we have them covered in the powertrain dept.)
i just don't want the read a mag say "the cars great except it not something you can live with everyday unlike the mustang"
