Question Color Choices?

Have they said what the color/stripe options are going to be?

Re: Color Choices?

I just hope it has some great colors. We don't need bland. Black, Silver, White, Red are no brainers. Then for the more adventurous: Hugger Orange, Yellow, and how about one of those old blues from the first gen? Laguna or Nassau blue? If they build an SS, a bumble bee stripe.

Re: Color Choices?

They usually offer at least one rather out there color each year then change it to something else the next. Good way to do it IMO.

First Mustang had that lime green color, this years its got Grabber Orange.

Re: Color Choices?

This is where the GF said we would be fighting. Color choice! I love the SOM, and would like to see that on the Camaro. Other than that drk. red met., or blue. She hates SOM, she likes silver, black, blue, maroon. We both hate bright red. She hates green, I don't mind green. I thought she would fight me to get an auto, but she says she wouldn't mind another stick. I gotta row my own.

Re: Color Choices?

I want a deep grey/silver. Like gunmetal or steel cities grey from the 3rd gen Vettes.

That would be sweet, and how can they not do a 69 Pace Car package.? GM could have it as a 40th Anniversary deal. To commerate the Camaro's involvement in that race, that would be pretty cool.

Re: Color Choices?

Sign me up for a yellow with black racing stripes Z28. Just like the Transformer Camaro.

I would also like to see a hugger orange one.

Re: Color Choices?

I'd like to see the deep purple from the 1991/1992 Camaro's.

As well as whatever that color was on the G6 GXP(or is it GTP I forget?) I saw at the NY Autoshow. A dark gray with metallic flecks in it. Very nice imo.

Re: Color Choices?

Yes the C3 vette steel cities grey color would look sweet on a Camaro, it was nice. The 3rd gen F-body purple would be nice to see too, or maybe MM=Royal Plumb! Even 1st gen colors where sweet, marina, deepwater, nantucket or even Le mans blue. I have the 06 GM Perf. Parts catalog there's a 70 Chevelle SS on the cover with a 572 and some Orange color looks like SOM with black stripes.........looks awesome! A SOM Camaro with black Z/28 stripes would be smokin' hot or a bumble bee, or hockey, could be used to differentiate different trim/perf./options/. I'm sure not right off the bat but ultimately, it should be offered in maybe different packages like Mustang, ie., Mach 1, GT, GT500, Boss,. We could have once again, LT, RS, SS, Z/28 etc, to give a different look, provided the car sells well, there should be the $$ to do subtle changes to the car in time. Yes, color choice IS going to be a BIG problem for me! Just plain Black always looks hot.

Re: Color Choices?

Its funny, because my best friend (owner of a silver '00 T/A) and I were just discussing this earlier. We both want Hugger Orange...but that poses a problem if we both got it . If they offer yellow (which, I doubt they'd do yellow AND orange), I'd go for it if it was like Millenium Yellow on the Vettes, not that puky Collector Edition yellow...

Otherwise, Hugger or SOM Gotta keep with the theme from the '97!

Re: Color Choices?

I think they need to bring back some old favorites which would look very good even today...

Medium Quasar Blue Metallic
the late 80's dark gray (I forget the name)
Sunset Orange Metallic

I have always hated that gray. It just does not fit a sports car to me.
