Re: Over sping A Vortech Blower ??

I am spinning mine to 55000 at 6500, I think 55000 is the max isnt it.

Car runs well made 656hp 581tq @ 6500 to the wheels.

Re: Over sping A Vortech Blower ??

55,000 is Vortech's limit for a T-trim. 50,000 for the S-trim.

Re: Over sping A Vortech Blower ??

I damaged a s trim by overspinning it (53000), spoke to a engineer at vortec he told me it wasnt the speed that hurt it it was lack of a large enough bypass.

He also told me unless I was running a cog to see the real speed I could allow up to 10% for belt slip. So even though math says I am at the max rpm reality is I am only at 50000.

So to really overspin a t you would have to cog it and use the math, or if your running 8 rib allow for belt slip.
