VSS Gap????

VSS Gap????
Does anyone know what the gap should be on a VSS pickup???? I'm trying to troubleshoot an error 97 (Diagnostic error) on a 95 LT1. Thanks in advance. BTW when I'm at 75 it only registers 22mph on the VSS.
