What is wrong with my rear caliper....

Rear LT1 caliper problem.
It seems that my left rear parking brake mechanism is screwed up. When you manually push the lever on the caliper that activates the parking brake, it will not sufficiently grab the caliper. This has nothing to do with the adjustment, it is really baffling me.

I have inspected the caliper and I don't see any issues. I removed it and blew the piston out and there is no problem there either. I think its possible there was air in the caliper or line and maybe the piston was abnormally moving when the parking brake is applied.

Has anyone seen this problem. If so I could use some help.
Thanks.
