Once again, Brent Franker's vinyl ROCKS!!!!

He custom made these LS2.COM decals for me. I put one on my car and the other on my friend Doug's car.

Check them out (I have the red, he has the black) they are both outlined by chrome:

They look GREAT! Thanks again Brent!!!!

Thanks

Glad you like them because those dual color ones are a PAIN to make.

And, teke184, get those installed already!!! hahaha (however, I can't talk because I have a set of LS1 brakes I haven't yet installed on my LT1 and it's been about as long. LOL!)

Brent ive been debating latly for an idea i have. Have you ever done a piece of vinyl to go up at the top of the rear window above the dot matrix. My tint is not stuck perfectly because the the dot matrix, and im tryin to decide if vinyl over it on the outside would be better or look stupid. ill post a pick with what im tryin to say so you understand better...(just gotta photoshop it)

ttop, the best thing you can do here is cut the tint right to the top defroster line. Then, tape off the tint and spray paint the inside of the back window a satin/flat black (they might even make a paint for this???). I know of a couple who have done this and it works well. I've got pics somewhere but not sure where.

Brent's vinyl is second to none. All the pieces on my car are done by him.

OR, paint it with the SMOKE (transparent black) paint. Same stuff people use to tint their headlights, tail lights, etc....

Then you can still see out of it...

Although, I always figured any shop who said they couldn't tint over it were crap and kept looking untill I find one who would. Had the back window tinted in ONE PIECE over the WHOLE dot-matrix/defroster area. Never had any problems with it bubbling or coming off.

The truth is it can be done it's just time consuming and most shops don't WANT to do it.

Yeah brent, i went to a different tint place because i was going to have them remove it the top strip, and they said that the tint job i had was accually one of the better ones they have seen. He also said that the paint breaks down from the sunlight too so it doesnt end up working as good as it should. I was ready to do it and he talked me out of it lol.

And most of the tint on the dot matrix is good, theres only like a 1 foot x 3 inch area where its not sticking as well. Its offcenter so it annoys the crap out of me.

Thanks guys for the kind words! I wouldn't put junk vinyl on my car so definitely don't make junk for others

For the tinting, hadn't heard that about the paint not holding up. Not sure why that would happen? I mean... it holds up on brake calipers so not sure why it wouldn't hold up on a piece of glass??? At any rate, if you found a good place to tint it and tint it good then that is best overall
