Looking for apartment/house to rent in Winter Park

My fiance and I are getting married in June and are looking for our first place. We're looking at spending around $900 for rent and no more than $1000. We're having trouble finding a nice apartment that gets decent reviews. We thought we had found a good one, Auver's Village, but it got horrible reviews on apartmentratings.com. We are up for renting a house that's in good shape or a nice apartment anywhere in the Winterpark/Maitland area. We're not really picky on how big it is, the most important thing is a place that's clean(no roaches), is safe(the less college students the better) and is relatively quiet.

I know alot of people rent on this board so I wanted to see if anyone knew of a nice apartment complex in that area. We haven't given up on Auvers but it's not looking good by the reviews. I mean the place looked pretty nice from the drive around, but obviously that can be decieving. We'd have no problem renting a house as long as it didn't require alot of upkeep(I don't mind mowing, etc, but I don't want to have to fix stuff in the house).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We're looking at getting a place in early to mid May.
