Current GM platform list.....
Gamma - subcompact FWD
Delta - compact FWD
Epsilon - mid-size FWD
Kappa - compact RWD
W - midsize cars FWD
Sigma - midsize RWD
G/K - fullsize cars FWD
V - full-size RWD
Theta - crossover SUV AWD
U - minivan FWD
Lambda - minivan FWD/AWD
Y - sports cars RWD
GMT - trucks RWD
13 sdifferent platforms. 9 are for cars, 4 are RWD. Sounds like there should be more RWD cars from GM, but there just are not. Weird. But then again the Kappa is for the Solstice, and the Y is for the Vette/XLR.

Don't forget "TE"
TE will underpin a forthcoming smaller Caddy SUV/CUV and the Saab something or other...
Then again with the changing tides at GM, it's possible the TE program might be on hold or canned. I haven't heard anything about it lately.

You know better than I do that some W's may be replaced with global RWD and some may be LWB Epsilon II as you are better at sorting some of this stuff out better than anyone else I know of.

Re: Current GM platform list.....
For Trucks there are currently 4 platforms in use
GMT355 = Colorado/H3
GMT360 = TrailBlazer/Envoy/SSR
GMT800 = H2/old trucks
GMT900 = Tahoe/Esclades/FullsizeTrucks
also is Lambda getting minivans? I thought they would just be crossovers.
