which sway bar is right for me
which sway bar is right for me
im looking for a rear sway bar for my car. i intend to drive it every day but i want it to be great for the drag strip. also i now have a moser 12 bolt with a ta cover, the sway bar rubs up against the cover, if i go bigger i am afraid it will create bigger problems with the rubbing. is there any kind of relocation kits? and is this possibly a cause of vibration at highway speeds. thanks for the help mods in sig
Re: which sway bar is right for me
I have a similar problem. My rear sway bar was close to the rear cover on the factory rear but with the Strange rear with TA cover, it rubs. Anyone have any suggestions?
Re: which sway bar is right for me
Spohn sells a mount kit designed for aftermarket 12 bolts both for Moser and Strange. It spaces the sway bar a little lower on off the rear so it won't rub...I used that kit and the Spohn 1" solid Chrome moly rear bar when I installed my Strange. I have the LPW aluminum cover, too. Works, looks great...http://spohn.net/product.cfm?productid=1310 and http://spohn.net/product.cfm?productid=1333

Re: which sway bar is right for me
Thanks for the info.
This just confirms my thoughts on modding my car. Every mod always seems to require another mod you didn't realize would have to be done to make the first mod work (or work better).

I would lust bake a spacer to go inbetween the mounts and the bar bushings. Go to a metal shop and get some 1/2 inch plate from there scrap pile and drill some holes in it.
but im cheap like that
