That rear end in these pics is NOT the rear end of the concept

In my drug induced state (flu meds, gentlemen, flu meds...), I completely forgot the fact that Hemmings Muscle Machines editor Jeff Koch did an editorial this month on pics he received of the concept. Ones that he got a call from GM regarding (I know this is old news, as someone else posted this a few days ago)....

He says the concept has 4 round tailights, and while the EARLY designs used rectangular tailights with CHROME TRIM (look at our car, and that's what you see), they were scrapped.

Don't get too worked up if there's something you don't like, because I don't think this is what we'll see in January. Its probably close, but it ain't it...

I pray that your words are true. While I love the Camaro heritage, I dont like the design at all. But then again, at least the Camaro is back.. better than nothing.

My girlfriend certainly hopes it's not I really dont mind the rear end, of course I might just be overcome by how much I love the rest of the car.

Good observation Jason! I hope that Hemming's write-up is accurate.

That's how I feel. I can handle not liking some aspects of the vehicle, because regardless it's a Camaro and it's back in production, and that just means that I'll be anxious for the 6th gen.

I think its the perfect blend between retro and modern.

This is going to be a car that gets looks. No doubt about it(not tryig to quote Bush). And I do hope they go to circular lights in the rear. That'll make it perfect from all angles.

I too would really prefer it if it had the round taillights.

The rear in the pics could definitely use the same kind of spoiler the early 70s LT-1 Z/28s had. That would look bad ass with the dual Z/28 stripes as well.

Re: That rear end in these pics is NOT the rear end of the concept

Not to take things too far out of context....but...In my poll of what people thought about the car, ol'red voted. He voted for "perfect." If the concept car was significantly different, I would think that he would of voted for one of the other options. Something about "perfect," makes me think that what we have is very very very close.
