What do the WOMEN think of it.

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not it's the v6 base models that make the numbers.
The only way thats going to happen is if the woman think its cute and buy it like they do the green v6 mutang convertables
So my question is do they women like this or the new retro mustang better?
Would you buy a retro mustang or this retro camaro, or do you hate both?

Re: What do the WOMEN think of it.

An interesting point.

And, at least from this perspective, I think the Mustang will win.

It has somewhat of a "cute" factor too it... the Camaro looks "meaner" and I wonder how that'll translate as far as female ownership.

Re: What do the WOMEN think of it.

"If" there were to be a second car show up at NAIAS like there is rumoured to be, and "if" GM would be so gracious as to call it Firebird, and "if" they'd style it like Firebirds of the past were (a little less "business" than the Camaros always were) then I can see that appealing to women as Firebirds always seemed to .

My gf hates it, but then again she is a huge 4th gen LT1 fan because of it's sleak low slung body.

Re: What do the WOMEN think of it.

My GF doesn't like it.

BUT, I assured her that it should look better in person at NAIAS, and she wanted to go anyway, so we'll just wait and see.

Camaro/Firebird never really was a chick car, anyway. Way more women driving Mustangs than F-bodies.

Yeah, there are exceptions, of course, but I think we've even seen the numbers thrown around here before.

Hopefully the new one will turn things around. Mustang does have quite an advantage, though...

Re: What do the WOMEN think of it.

The wife likes it. She's not too thrilled with the front end, but loves the rear because "it looks mean". Personally, I like the rear too, but would like to see it done with oval or rounded taillights. The front could be made meaner by giving it the "squint" like the TrailBlazer, Colorado and other GM cars/trucks have.

I have to say, with only minor refinements, I'll take the leaked one just the way it is, color and all. I wouldn't even think twice. The only thing I'm wondering is possibly how much better the one at NAIAS will look.

Re: What do the WOMEN think of it.

one of my male Ford friends saw it last night and he liked it. my gf hasn't seen it yet, and doesn't really care to much right now (she's starting a new job on the 19th and has more important things to worry about), but i'm gonna show her mom and dad tonight, both of which are diehard Mustang people. i can't wait to see their reactions.

Re: What do the WOMEN think of it.

Interesting point about cuteness. Do women with SUVs like the intimidation factor to come from the mass and not the styling?

I think some women like power. But that doesn't really explain why they go for V6 Mustangs, now does it?

I believe this theory is correct...I've talked to so many damn V6 mustang owners and I've never heard,"It's slow" or "It's underpowered". They all think the V6 is FAST...

Re: What do the WOMEN think of it.

My girlfriend liked it.

But the concept she went crazy over was the red Chris Pauwell version. We were scanning through concept photos and when we got to Chris's, she said "Oohh, I want that one".

I think it was the front clip of the Pauwell camaro that she liked.

As long as they like the backseat, the car can't miss.

Re: What do the WOMEN think of it.

My girlfriend described it as follows: "It's cute. It looks alot more female friendly then the 4th gen did. I think its cool looking and it looks better than than the new Mustang. I would drive it."
