Re: Too many threads all saying the same thing!

Yes! I'm friggin serious! I've found the pix through a search, but I was off the board yesterday, and I missed what went down. I can only assume that someone had some GM pix, released them to some site, then they got linked across the net. GM tried to do some security, but it got away from them and they said to hell with it and let it go. I posted something about it this morning and it was yanked in 30 seconds. NO JOKE. And now everyone is so excited about the car, I can't get anyone to tell me how it all went down!

SPEAK!

Re: Too many threads all saying the same thing!

Basically, an unknown leak was given to ls1tech.com. They put their watermark on the pics and released them on their site. They got in trouble and later tried to take it back or something. Jason and Chris knew enough not to let the pics float on this site to get in trouble with GM or RP, and took them down once they were posted. So now we're allowed to talk all we want about it basically, but not post the pics.

Re: Too many threads all saying the same thing!

Tony from LS1Tech got an "anonymous" email with the pics in it and posted them on the site. within 5 minutes, we had them here and so did about 100 other sites. GM was not a happy giant and started trying to do damage control. Scott was personally emailing people and telling them not to talk about it and definetley to take down any of the pics they had. the board went almost totally silent after that and every thread or post that mentioned the pics promptly got deleted. then today, Scott started this thread:

http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=414197

and the addiction started and no one has been silent since. it's still a big NO-NO to post the pics, out of respect for Scott, Jason D, and Chris but we can talk about them all we want........

so at this point, get a pot of coffee brewing and hop on for the ride.

it's a shame Chevroletman wasn't around to stop those evil men from posting those pics

Re: Too many threads all saying the same thing!

Copy that. It was funny because when I left it 2 nights ago, then returned this morning, it was much the same as I left it, but I figured out something had happend, and I thought it was squashed. I got the pix from another site, and didn't know anything else. Then I come back this afternoon, and theres a about 10 threads about it w/ more views and posts by far than I've ever seen in 5 years, and NOWHERE could I get up to speed on exactly what went down. I'm good now, thanks!

True...fricking 30 people trying to post all at the same time. Then it'd be all over...no cocaine left.
