A little bit about this new forum...
When we created what was known as the "5th gen / Future Vehicles Discussion" forum (now the "Automotive News/Future Vehicle Discussion" forum), the 4th gen Camaro was still being built and a 5th gen was a speculation...or a dream.
We had no idea that it would be widely regarded as one of the best future vehicles forums on the Internet, and for that we thank you all for making things pretty hot in there.
With the undoubted release of a 5th gen Camaro concept at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show and the recently leaked images of it, it is now time to break the forum into to parts. We had this change planned months ago and had to wait for the right time to do it.
So, from now on please use THIS forum for 5th gen Camaro discussion only, and other future vehicles should go in the "Automotive News/Future Vehicle Discussion", just as you always have.
The future looks bright indeed!

All the pieces are starting to fall into places. And it feels damn good!

While the smoothly curvaceous Challenger looked like it was simply reissued, though in a somewhat more modern size because of its Chrysler LX underpinnings, the Camaro concept had a more contemporary and angular appearance that looked cutting edge, and we mean that both literally and figuratively.

I'll be sad when this forum finally goes down.
It's been a loooooooong time.

Re: A little bit about this new forum...
I think we should call it the 6th gen, like it skipped a generation.

Re: A little bit about this new forum...
I can't believe that we finally have our own forum for this. It feels like its been forever since the 5th gen talk started.
I remember the day that Red Planet made his first post and we were all in disbelief and chewed him out for claiming that he was working high up in GM.
Has it really been that long? (Thanks Red for putting up with us for so long!)

Re: A little bit about this new forum...
Great idea Jason! This has been a long time coming. This should (hopefully) improve the signal:noise ratio, at least for people like me who would rather just hear about 5th gen related news.
