I find it extremely funny
That everyone is afraid to talk about the leaked pics of the "camaro". LOL!
I assume they were real, otherwise every board wouldn't be pulling them off the net.

Re: I find it extremely funny
When our most trusted, respected, and admired connection straight to GM is upset about the leaked pictures, it's best to not discuss it and lose his trust. A mistake was made, the source that posted them appologized, case closed.

Re: I find it extremely funny
Because I don't think JasonD would appreciate the controversy of the leaked pictures on his website. He made a thread about it, but I guess he forgot to sticky it or something. It is on the front page though.

lol, its not the pics that i'm afraid of... its the multi billion dollar corperation that owns the pictures that i'm afraid of... for 2 reasons... suburbans rolling up to pick me up or the fact that another automotive company may benifit from the release of the photos prematurely

spot on, granted it's only a month early and it's obviously not what we will be seeing at naias, but that's the big part right there. imo it could've been twisted into a good thing, it wasn't a working car obviously (heck the whole body was held up by jackstands) but in some ways, i really would think it'd be healthy to allow discussion amongst those that did see it, we're the biggest camaro enthusiast community on the internet, it'd be nice to openly discuss our opinions on what we saw, maybe give a little feedback.

Re: I find it extremely funny
The site that released them didn't make "a mistake" IMO....they knew what they had in their hands, and wanted to be the first to let the perverbial cat out...they even put their site's watermark all over them. Then in the post he said "if anyone has a problem with us posting these, contact us and we'll take them down"...gee don't you think you should ask permission first? Any respectable/reputable website would. I don't blame Scott for getting steamed.
Ahh well. Here's to another locked thread on the subject.

Re: I find it extremely funny
Yea that was about the lamest thing I've seen in a while. Putting their watermark over other people's property so they could be the first in the spotlight...I mean honestly.
And why wouldn't we be afraid if our discussion of the leaked pics could lead to the detrimental to the cars release?

Re: I find it extremely funny
I'm surprised this thread is still here. I had one wiped just for mentioning the existance. Time is short though and we'll all be looking at something cool soon enough. We've waited a LONG time. What's another few weeks?

because someone gave the pics to guy... he doesnt even know who he got the pics from... so the tracks are covered up everywhere... scott doesnt know who let them out nor does the person who put them up...

Re: I find it extremely funny
Now that the pics are everywhere I don't see the harm in discussing them. Isn't that what GM would want? Create a buzz & get input from enthusiasts? We're only a month away. The Challenger is already out there. Why let Dodge get all the press?

Re: I find it extremely funny
yea i think its out of gm's hands... toyota sites have it up on their forums and people who dont care about the success of GM... so at that point they wont be respectful toward the company anyway...
i think its out of hand the minute it was released...

THat just wrong!
Tony knew damned good and well that these were NOT meant for public consumption...but chose to flaunt it....and then made up lame excuses as to pleading ignorance.
