Doobie Doobie Doo...
Those Bud Ice penquins sure were cool....sorry, trying to break the tension a little ...
Haven't talked wheels in a while, have we? Let's do that. Based on things that are or are not floating around, what type of wheel are you all thinking? I think a wheel similar to the Y2K C5 wheels would be cool. Maybe a 2008 rendition of the salad shooter??

LOL, hopefully the Salad Shooter has been buried for good, never to be resurrected.
I remember how cool they look in 93, but they aged very quickly.

Re: Doobie Doobie Doo...
Hrm yes the elephant is not the color I wanted it to be either...
GM must have a patent on silver.
Anyway...wheels, hrm...I think as of right now, Chrysler/Dodge has the best wheels.

This elephant may be grey but that doesn't mean what we will see will be.

Same. I actually traded 16x8 chrome ZR1s for salad shooters. Eventually ended up with a set of pristine salads.
The rims looked nice...errr...man that elephant is huge.

no grey is probably a good color to find flaws... or too look at in a bland state and really pay attention to styling...

Re: Doobie Doobie Doo...
As far as wheels go... i believe that we need the next gen to keep up with the current trends on wheel design. something simple but elegant that will also be sporty. I believe that the old 5 spoke SS wheels

dodge is really getting some nice wheels for their cars... 20 inch wheels should be an option on the top model camaro...

Re: Doobie Doobie Doo...
naa i kinda like the direction GM's SS wheels are going, just make the old SS style rims with the new flat faced rims... and you'd have a pretty good rim design i think

Listen to this man. I wasn't trying to make this about "elephants", I would really like to talk wheels. We know we are getting a more 1st gen type car, so what so you think would go well? I agree with jcamere94z28, those are pretty hot wheels. How about a dished wheel? Foose is making some great looking wheels right now. I heard he might be working with a f-body competitor for a wheel design...

Re: Doobie Doobie Doo...
i personally like Jason D's rims. a nice 5 spoke dished wheel would look pretty sweet.

You heard all the talk about the weight of the 5th gen, turns out it will be as heavy as a elephant. But it should sport a nice trunk.
Thanks folks, be sure to tip your waitress.
