Strange 12 bolts without tcs,abs...
I got a 95 formula with tcs and abs(but i dont care) and i want to order a strange 12 bolts rear end.
I want to order it without ABS and TCS since I would have to remove my ABS/ASR reluctor rings from each axle and send them to be installed on the new Strange axles, plus this would require a special caliper mounting bracket to hold the ABS/ASR sensor. All this add cost, but more importantly, it would add weeks more time to receive the unit tcs and abs,i dont use tcs and hate abs.
So is there a problem to run my car with this rear-end without these 2 things.
And when i order it i ve just too tell them that i dont need channel ring?
Thank you

I did a search and found this old post (without any responses). Anyway, I have the same issue. I’m installing a Strange 12-bolt and they didn’t have everything to set-up the 4-channel ABS (reluctor rings on axels and sensors in caliper brackets). Also, I sent Strange some OEM caliper brackets w/ wheel speed sensor mounts, but they said the OEM brackets would not work. I need to get the new 12-bolt as soon as possible and get back into the bracket points. So I said, “send it w/o the 4-channel.”
Here is what I think will happen; The ABS will fault and display “ABS INOP” and go into a “fault mode.” The brakes will still work “adequately” (all wheels) for safe stopping (normal conditions), however, the proportional braking (anti-lock) feature will be non-functional (during skids, Etc.).
Does everyone agree with my loss of ABS assessment (no rear wheel speed sensors)?

The brakes will work fine. An ABS delete kit would be best.
My 12 bolt has no provisions for ABS or TCS though my car was never equipped with TCS.
I plan on deleting the ABS with one of SJM ABS delete/Line lock kits.
Yes you will have the "ABS inop" light but just pull the bulb, thats what I do.

i have had the abs inop light since i bought my car years ago. if you slam the brakes they will lock up. i would say pull the abs fuse, then you definitely will know what is going to happen, its what i did.
yeah, i have been driving my car like that for years, even back when it was my daily driver. if you really slam the brakes they will lock up, or at least mine did but i have ls1 brakes in the front. i have never had it happen to me at the race track though.
