Post NAIAS question...
Once the concept sees the light of day, and it makes it in all the magazines, what changes can we expect in terms of information coming from GM regarding the production plans for the car. Certainly the offical GM position will shift away from plausible deniability, but to what new direction? Will it be an open book like Solstice was, or will it be a secret like C6, even though EVERYBODY knew it was coming? Are all the issues involving the secrecy about Camaro resolved now? It would be nice to get the final true story about what happened at the end of the 4th gen, and what all has been going on during the last 3-5 years regarding the development of the 5th.

Re: Post NAIAS question...
I'd say if everything turns out good, and GM gets thousands of emails, they would probably announce that it got a green light for production, even though that may be the intention all a along. And secondly they could use the announcement to maybe keep some people out of Ford dealers

Re: Post NAIAS question...
It is likely we'll get a VERY good idea of what the 5th Gen will look like next month. That's a good thing. The next obvious questions from my perspective is when? What powertrain? When? Guestimated cost? When? Approx weight?
Did I mention when?
Last word from the winkie club was MY08/09. Some seem to suggest perhaps late 07. Be interested to know when we'll really know.

Re: Post NAIAS question...
The key word is concept. This means that they have an idea of where they want to go, but they can still make changes based on your demands. So within reasonable time after seeing the concept, send personal letters to GM. Hate it or praise it; let the product managers know what you like and what you dislike about it.
Do not let the press be your voice. You might not agree with the press and GM needs to know that the press does not and can not represent the paying customers who GM needs to cater to.
Remember, GM has what you want (the Camaro) and you have what GM wants (the $$$$$.$$). Thus a beautiful relationship is created.
Bottom line: Voice your demands to GM. Don't preach to the choir because it seems that most of us all want the same thing: a new, kick @$$ Camaro.
