Sweet, got a new Tacoma at work

My company wanted to get a new delivery vehicle to replace the 99 Safari van they had and which I drove from home to work and back. I was expecting a new Colorado/Canyon since the other branch got a new S10 a few years back, but the Regional manager likes his Toyota's so he set up a deal for a new Tacoma.

At first he told me it was going to be loaded w/ 4x4 so I was pumped to have it for this winter. I think I got the Safari stuck at least 20 times last year. Went and picked it up today and it was just a base 2wd Looks real ugly with those small tires, like the base colorados/canyons, but I'm not going to complain, it's a new vehicle to drive to work and back on the companies dime.

I wish I could do some sort of review, but I don't really have anything to compare it too. The only negative thing I've noticed about it so far is the position of the steering wheel. I'm 6'2 and with the wheel tilted all the way up it can still brush the top of my knees, not very comfortable.

Oh yeah, it's gutless. The Safari had a 4.3 to pull it around, but man, I've gotta hammer on the Tacoma to merge onto the freeway.

4cyl and rwd? lame. I'm sure it would be fairly quick with the 245hp 4.0 and 4x4 would come in handy during the winter.

Sucks for your that they cheaped out.

Regular cab? I think you can only get the 4 clyinder with the regular cab and visa versa. At least you can get the 175 hp I4 in the Colorado in any cab configuration. Honestly I think the Chevy would make more $$$ sense since it likely costs less and gets better gas mileage.
