What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
This one should be exciting
For some reason when I think of the Camaro's best days I think of IROC-Z's. To me the First Gens are cool, but I have never really seen them enough to be attached...plus they were only made three years. The Second Gen Camaro IMO was probaly the ugliest gen...plus the Firebird kinda stole the show these years. As for the 3rd Gen...I grew up with these cars around...and they were always must haves. I remember as a kid...IROC-Z's were the cars every one drooled over. Something about the stance and the ground effects. They just has so much personality. As for the 4th Gen, in terms of performance...they are likely's the best Camaro's ever...however for me they seemed to loose some personality? I still love them...but they just never had the factor of a nice 3rd Gen. I hope the mullet stigma fades away though
If I remember right...I think someone mentioned a while back that they put pictures of a Camaro from each of the 35 model years up, and asked people in a clinc to choose the one they though that best personified what a Camaro should be...and the most popular one was an 85 IROC-Z.

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
As much as I love the 91-92 Z's. my favorite Camaro is the 4th gen SS. To me that car has the best look of ANY generation (so far). In fact, I like them so much that I am currently contemplating picking up an 02 SS. (I am having a hell of a time waiting for 0x, and besides, who says I can't have 2 of them! )

I said fourth gen, but only the 96 Camaro Z28/SS. I love the 94-96 dash over the 97+, and the LT1's look meaner (personal opinion)

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
First Gen, I owned a '69 Firebird, but my Dad ordered a '68 SS/325 New...Corvette Bronze, black interior, black bumble-bee stripe going across the nose down to a point in the middle of each door, chrome SS grills in the hood, hurst 4 spd muncie trans...man that car was fast!..after a little tweaking.
The G's that thing could pull in a straight line, with the front off the ground!..

When I was a little kid I can remember the 91-92 Z28's being so cool...ever since then I wanted one of them.
I almost bought one, and I wish I would have over my LT1...

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
Third gen, hands down. My '89 RS was without a doubt a more attractive car than my Z. The handling, the style, the attitude of a third gen make it #1 to me. It didn't matter that my RS only made 135hp...the stance was right, the look was right, hell...if the stupid thing had a 305 in it, I'd still have it now and never would have bought my Z!!
To me, it was 2 cylinders short of perfection. I love that car...I miss that car. And without a doubt, I will have another...

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
Tough poll. There's good stuff in there for all four gens but 'warm and fuzzy' for me and it's a tough call, is the third gen 87-90 IROC. The fourth gen was better screwed together and had (much) more desireable engines, but they don't necessarily say Camaro (to me) like those 87-90 cars.
But, given the choice to buy in a push comes to shove way, I couldn't help but get all giddy over a late LT1 or LS1 (here though I could go for either Camaro or TA) - despite how I voted. As far as second gen goes, for me, the TA had it all over the Camaro - no ifs-ands-or-buts.
But, yeah its the third gen for warm and fuzzy. I was just flipping through an old mag (1LE article I just can't bring myself to get rid of...) and the IROCs therein just looked so..... Camaro... I couldn't help but smile.

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
Third gen, definitely my favorite Camaros. They are the ones that got me hooked on F-bodies in general. The The 87-90 IROCs and 91-92 Z/28s are the best looking Camaros IMO, and you can't beat the sound of the L98. I'd probably have one for a daily driver if gas wasn't so high..

While the smoothly curvaceous Challenger looked like it was simply reissued, though in a somewhat more modern size because of its Chrysler LX underpinnings, the Camaro concept had a more contemporary and angular appearance that looked cutting edge, and we mean that both literally and figuratively.

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
I was a second Gen guy at heart (think split bumper) until I took a good look at my Camaro next to my Subaru and a buddys Mustang GT. The 4th Gen's Style is aging like a good wine to me. I picked the ls1 4th Gen as my pick.

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
I love the 4th gens, but you can't beat the sexy curves of the first three years of the second gens. Combine the RS package with either the SS or Z/28, the lip spolier and wrap around rear spoiler, and that's the last car I'll ever need.
Along with my 4th gen of course....

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
My fourth gen when I turn on the heat, duh.
I'll always love the third-gens, my 91 was my first true love.
Only camaro's i don't feel fuzzy about are late 70's.

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
I'll take an 88-90 IROC any day of the week over any other generation. Those are the hottest looking cars on the road. Each time I see one on the street I always have to check it out.
