never messed with turbos....help me shop

I'm specifically looking for a good system for an ls1 f-body. I've never messed with turbos, but being able to control boost amounts and flatter torque curves gets my attention. I'd like something that i can run up to 18psi, not have too much lag, and fit in the stock engine compartment (stock ramair hood too). I'd like a good intercooler to go with it. maybe dual side intercoolers or whatever else is good for a decent price. I'd like some suggestions. basically,i want to be able to run it on the streets daily if i wish and be reliable without a very clustered engine compartment. thanks

All of the front mount kits that I know of tend to clutter the engine bay. This was a big reason I went with the STS kit. I am in the middle of a forged build up, and plan to run the same kind of boost you are talking about, so I think it would work well.

IF you are looking for a great turbo system for the LS-1 f-body look no further that PTK(Proturbokits). They dont clutter the upper half of the engine bay anymore than an STS and make more power. Check them out for yourself, www.proturbokits.com or at www.forcedinductions.com. They are not cheap. Their customer service is top notch. Call and talk to Dalton. Very knowledgable/ nice guy. This kit can support up to 1,200 hp. Have fun!
