Talking Pics of my 67' RS and of my new (to me) 96' z28

Here are links to a few pics of my two cars, it will tell the mods too--

Thanks for looking and posting, they are both works in progress but are pretty on the eyes too

EDIT: Just click the links in my signature and pay NO attention to the hp figures stated, I pretty much was a noobie at the time and added up the "reported gained power" the add on companies stated (lied) about. I am guessing 300rwhp on the 96; and a little bit more on the 67' since the motor is a 375hp L79 corvette motor with add ons'---

Cool pics on the new 96... one thing I'd like to point out is that when something says "Garaunteed to add 15HP!" it's not going to. You can't say "My cold air intake adds 20HP" because it's not doing jack if the rest of the exhaust is bad. That's almost as bad as saying the stickers add 5hp a piece.

On the subject of the exhaust, don't listen to the losers on that gopednation they don't know what they're talking about. Get yourself the CME (Center Mount Exhaust) valence and you'll be set, it's a ground effects piece so all you see are the four tips.

Meissenation, thanks for the pointers. Who sells the valances....and do I need to get it painted body color ( probably , lol )??? Post a link if you know of somewhere with the coolest style!!! I love the exhaust and your right, it sorta sits too low until I get the valance, haha. Also, I totally noticed the hp quotes are WAY off, everyone on here says the pulleys add 2hp ( not the 10-15 quoted ) and the hypertech modue adds .7hp and they say 15-20, hahaha. I appreciate it!!!

EDIT: all I could find on a yahoo search was the SS valance made for the 96' cars , and it had to be painted for about $200 shipped. Would that clear my tips or would it need to be modified do you think?! I am thinking my tips are bigger than the ss tips since theirs are oval and mine are round, hmmm

not to bust your bubble or anything, but that car make no more then 300 rwhp to the wheels with the mods above. All the mods to it are pretty much worthless. Elderbrock headers = crap, hypertech = crap etc.
The only part that is worth something is the K&N Cold Air intake. Fuel pump/inectors will not do anything for you as far as hp goes. Other then that car looks alright not digging that exahust though
Get some Hooker Longtubes, CC306 Cam and supporting mods and then you will have 350rwhp

Saint 69, thanks for the "alright" compliment, haha. I think you are DEAD on with the 300rwhp estimate, that is what I have been hearing lately. I am planning on lowering it in the front so I heard to stay away from the long tubes. I think the exhaust will look GREAT with the valance, but it DEFINATELY sounds way tuff with the backpressure gurgle and boy does it SCREAM!!! My buddy with an 05' GTO is super jealous of the way my ride sounds and wont even race me , hahah ( he would hand my *** to me on a plate if we raced though, but I wont let him know that ). Thanks for the cam recommendation. I think I am going to go with a lloyd elliot cam/head package #1 for around 400rwhp. Its my daily driver, so I want it as reliable as possible. I dont even think it has the injectors I originally thought it had and I took out the hypertech when I noticed it was for a 95' and not my 96', lol ( noobie me ). --

EDIT: I love your "CURRENT" car pics....best setup you have had.....sorta reminds me of my car a little

Should I just paint the exhaust tubes black that come in from either side underneath the car or should I go with the valance ( if it will fit? ). I guess I wont have a choice if I cant find the right valance, lol. It was my buddies idea to paint it , sorta giving it the illusion that all you can see is the tips out the back and the underside of the car will be jet black all around? Sounds cool to me, what do you guys think?!

I know SLP makes an exhaust valence (slponline.com is their site) but I don't know if you can get it for a cheap price, I think it's pretty expensive. You could always buy the SS one and customize it a bit with a dremel to make it work. I think it'd look really sweet with the right valence wrapped around the tips.

Re: Pics of my 67' RS and of my new (to me) 96' z28

Not necessarilly, there's two SLP center mount exhausts (or atleast I think they're both SLP, I might be mistaken though... haven't really researched CME exhaust valences) There's a one piece and a two piece. The one piece will need a dremel to customize it to fit the tips, but the two piece might work just fine on its own, it just goes on either side of the tips... at most you'd have to trim the sides of the 2 piece so it can allow for the extra width your tips might have.

I think the exhaust is kind of cool, maybe you could tuck it up a little to please the masses, I can't comprehend though how thats set-up though??? Do you have any close up pics, maybe some from under the car, I would be interested in seeing how that exhaust is set-up.

Re: Pics of my 67' RS and of my new (to me) 96' z28

meissenation thanks for the tip on the TWO PIECE valance, I seriously didnt know they had a two peice , and that would be PERFECT for my setup!!! Looking for wheels, thanks ALOT on your exhaust compliment. I may setup a soundclip so you guys could hear how BADASS this exhaust sounds, my friend with the 05' gto is jealous of how MEAN she sounds and when I let off the gas it gurgles and slightly pops. I will take pics before I get the valance to show you the underside, its pretty intricate actually but a SOLID mount, doesnt even shimmy a little bit

Anyway, back on topic, yeah no problem about the two piece. I don't see them around all that often, but I thought the CME kits came with the two piece valence. I looked on ebay and couldn't find it, I thought a few people on LS1tech.com were talking about doing CME valences and I remember one mentioning "it costs so much" so it must be on the expensive side. Hell, could always buy a rear GFX piece from an RS kit and just chop the middle section out, too, haha.
