Suggestions, ATI p1sc Must Have's

I am thinking of ditching my current cam setup and going to go to the dark side...FI!! Im thinking of running the 224/230 .536 .555 114. I want the car to be daily driven friendly and move when it needs to. Anyone running this cam? Results? Thoughts? My current setup is in my sig. I am running 42lb FMS injectors, will these suffice? I already know I will be needing a Fuel pump, as I am still on my stocker. Is an ATI dampener needed as well? I am only going to be running 8-10lb of boost, due to my compression. If anyone has reccomendations, suggestions, sound clips, dyno results, anything, please shoot them my way, as I am embarking on a new voyage. Thank You all..Very Much Appreciated, and thanks for reading..

The 224/236 comp blower grind is really nice for a daily driven car. It's very docile until you start making boost, then it pulls pretty hard. What chambers do those AFRs have? You may consider selling them for a set with larger chambers do drop the compression a little. Other than that, intercool it, get an alky kit and have it professionally tuned.

Re: Suggestions, ATI p1sc Must Have's

hey chris-
do you have any insight on the other portion of this thread, re: the ATI damper?
i spoke to art wilson of ATI (the trans guys) who could not give me a direct answer of the compatibility of their damper and the ATI s/c kit. He said that while the serpentine for the accessories will be unaffected, the thickness of their piece and their hub length may create an alignment issue for the s/c pullies and drive belt. he did add that the hub would be keyed and that the damper is SFI approved.
any thoughts?

like chris said, i would check the chamber volume on the heads, the compression ratio is boarderline for pump gas. you could get away with getting thicker head gaskets, but that would change the quench values as well. otherwise if you do a tear down, change the slugs.
i wouldn't reccommend going over 8 psi on the blower with your current set-up.

Re: Suggestions, ATI p1sc Must Have's

I know you have to drill extra holes in the blower pulley for the extra hub bolts. I don't think the hub should throw off the belt alignment of the supercharger at all. If it does, milling the back of the supercharger crank pulley just a bit should fix it. Or you could use spacers to push the blower forward a little bit.

As far as needing one? That's a toss up. If you're spinning the motor past 6000 regularly, it couldn't hurt to have one. Most street motors can probably get away with using the stocker since there's no rubber rings in it to go bad and throw it off balance. Not to mention it's $400 bucks you don't have to spend on a dampner. Having the crank/hub keyed is definately a good idea with a blower though.

Re: Suggestions, ATI p1sc Must Have's

the heads currently have a 54cc chamber, and the motor has a -16cc dished piston. My tuner said, that as long as I stay below a compression of 15 under boost, I should be fine. This will be a intercooled setup, could I get away with the pulley that comes with the p1sc stage two setup? Thanks a million guys!

Skip the twin ICs and go with the big 3 core if you can.

If you order the ATI Big hub double keyed you will have to machine your blower crank pulley down i took .25 off ( there are some pix in sig) when i ck for belt alingement i will shim the blower out, if i have to
