Gm versus Honda car sales

"GM's car sales fell 1.6 percent, although the company's Cadillac brand enjoyed its best sales month in 12 years. Truck sales slid 7.8 percent for the month compared with May 2004. GM's sales are now off 5.2 percent for the year."

"Honda Motor Co. saw a 7.5 percent decline in sales, including a 19 percent decline in sales of its aging car lineup. But its trucks, including the new Honda Ridgeline pickup, saw a 14.3 percent increase over last May. Honda's sales are up less than 1 percent for the year."

Looks like new car model sales are up for GM, Honda has aging Accord and Civic. New Civic for 2006 model year however. Who will turn-around car sales first, GM or Honda?

Toyota > Honda
Lexus > Acura

I really hope GM cuts off one or two of their branches, reorganizes, and makes a stronger base in the upcoming years.

Chevy/Caddy = Car company A

Pontiac/Buick/GMC = Car company B

less brands = less cars sold (if done right)

Honda only has the Polit and Mnivan that probably count as trucks. Ridge line sales give them the higher %. Hummer will be up 50%+ by year end due to it's added model.

Those are all based on cars. Not sure how they qualify as trucks. Well, I guess if the PT cruiser is a truck they can be too
