C4 Brakes

I tried doing a search to no avail. Has anyone put C4 brakes on their LT-1? I read an article in GMHTP Magazine where someone put C4 brakes on the LT-1, but the article didn't elaborate as to what, if any, modifications were needed for this conversion. Hell, i don't even know if their would be a benefit to doing it. C5 conversion is pretty much out of the question because of cost. Any help is appreciated...

Re: C4 Brakes

My thoughts would be that they are the same, but its just a shot in the dark. Probably better off with a LS1 set.

Re: C4 Brakes

The Baer 13" Track Claw system is a C4 setup; nice improvement over stock. The kit comes with brackets to allow you to mount the calipers over the larger rotors. I got mine as part of a GP for $675. The C5 is a better setup, stronger calipers. You need to verify that the calipers will fit inside your rims; not all 17" rims have the same clearance. The C5 setup would not clear my 17" Enkei Winn wheeels, that's why I went with the Track Claw setup. If you're on a tight budet, the LS1 upgrade is less than half the price.
