Re: stanton track times??

so far the track has been disappointing here in St. Louis. I'm watching modded ls1 cars going 14's and high 13's, a C6 with exhaust barely hitting 13.4's at 107ish etc. Imports are running the same because they don't have so many traction issues. Track prep has been crap here. Haven't had a chance to run myself, but have gone up a few times to watch my cousin and some friends run.

Re: stanton track times??

well i ran 13.30 at 105 again on my 18" wheels and bad tractions
i ran 13.30 least year before the long tubes, off road y-pipe, electric cut out,and tune on my stock 16" wheels and good traction.
so i know i'll run better with my stock wheels and tires but i was cool with 13.30 for now. everybody that day didn't run to good, track prep was bad i thought.

Re: stanton track times??

cool man... OBVIOUSLY this is a track kill story regardless what others may think... at least your at the track not on public roads endangering inoccent bystanders.... and everyone needs a starting point otherwise it wouldn't be as fun to just go out and run high to mid 12's and not have to run anymore...otherwise ill be the only one going up in a month or so.. thx for the reply blackbird... ill see ya at the "lot" this weekend weather willing...Nate

i'm going to assume you will be there this weekend for the gtp event... my buddie tim should be there, but i don't think he will be there for long if he runs faster than mid 11's (did 11.5 last year on old gt with a turbo setup)

The Grand Prix Grudge Match was on the 16'th. My red car has a trans problem so I ran my black GTP. It went 13.65 which was quite a surprise, I raced it last year and could only muster a 13.99. I rebuilt the engine shoved in a bigger cam and a 3.4 pulley and an cold air intake. I won the fastest GTP with a completely stock exhuast. Not to shabby. I have to get the red car to GR for trans repairs soon. I want to get some track time with it. I would like to go up the next time the lansing crew goes up. Might surprise a few doubters. See yah soon Nate.
