Any LT1 gurus in Chicago Area

I am having so many little stupid problems that I am about to part my car out. I bought a 383 from ape put everything together and am getting a knock once the car starts but most of the time it doesnt even start and it fouls out the plugs real fast. I just need someone to give me a second opinion about some of the things going on with it because I just spent 3g on drivetrain and want to use it. I dont have a lot of money but i can at least give you something for helping.. Pm me or reply in here. Thanks in advance

I went over the car with a friend today and we think it is tuning..The car is spraying waaaay too much fuel at the cylinders..I fouled out my plugs in a matter of two minutes. I think im going to take it to jim at speed and see if u can tune it to run. I guess well see what happens

Let us know how everything goes...I've always wondered about his tuning.

Take it to Speed Inc or Chitownracing

http://speedinc.com/

http://www.chitownracing.com/forums/...splay.php?f=40

You might need to register to see the second one...but it's a cool site nevertheless!

I've also heard that FLP can do good work. There are also many people who swear by Brian Vorphal at www.bvperformance.com and some others who swear at him. He seems to be especially well liked by The Herd (www.theherd.com), a group of Impala SS nuts in the Chicago area. I, unfortunately, do not have direct experience, but he does seem knowledgable with the LT1/LT4 from what I have seen and heard. Those who do not like him dislike him for his attitude moreso than his work.

Thumbs up Re: Any LT1 gurus in Chicago Area

Bring it to Dan at FLP and be done with it... plain and simple. He's the best.
