I have a gas leak some where but i cant tell were... HELP!!!
i've crawled under the car and i cant seem to find were the leak is coming from, i belive that its coming fromt he filler neck to tank seal because everytime i fill up then take a right turn the smell gets alot worse like the gas is sloshing over to the left side were you fill the tank.
Do any of you know of a common problem with the gas tanks? i just replaced the gas cap, because the one i had was a really crappy aftermarket locking cap, but that didnt work.
thanks for all the help

that should get rid of the leak problem too, youd have no more car to have a leak.

Yeah, often times tanks will begin leaking somewhere around the seam joining the top and bottom half together ... I had this happen to my '96 Sunfire, and we've had it on a couple pickup trucks before too
. Since welding a patch on a gas tank isn't just a simple welding job (for obvious reasons
) then you're probably better off looking for a new tank (if, in fact, that is what's leaking).
