So How is your paint holding up?

I'm really pleased with mine. My car stays in a garage when I'm not driving it but about 5 days a week it sits in the Texas sun all day. Five years since I got the car this month and 8 since it was new and the clear coat looks terrific with just routine hand wash and Zaino. I see a lot of earlier 90's cars, usually Fords, must have had a bad paint formula that look really bad but I seem to have dodged that bullet.

I bet you would be amazed at the improvement with a semi-annual polishing (abrasive and/or cleaner).

Honestly, I don't see how it could look better. I clay bar it before the Zaino and always get some black stuff but the paint still looks like gray glass. What I was interested in was if anyone is having any problems and if so, how long it takes. I see some cars 2-3 years older than mine with signfigant problems but I don't know what kind of care they have had.

I guarantee that polishing the paint would help remove any oxidation and light surface imperfections. Claybars work really well, but every car needs a good polishing from time to time.
