Angry New Suburban Zaino'ed, but now has swirls?

I just bought a brand new 2004 black Suburban. I applied washed with dawn first to remove anything the dealer may have put on it. From there I used Z2 with ZFX. I applied a total of 3 coats. Now it looks great, but there are swirl marks. How do I get rid of them?

The only way to truly remove swirl marks is to use an abrasive polish.

To prevent them from reappearing, you need to use good techniques and supplies.

The dealer probably put all the swirl marks into the surface. I'd never let a dealer touch my car.

If the swirls are minor a few coats of Z-5/ZFX will help fill them in and make them less and less noticable. Otherwise, you'd have to buff them out.

A cars surface's worst enemy is the person who cleans it. Like Zane said, technique and supplies are critical. This is VERY important. I use 100% cotton wash mitts from NAPA, only the best 100% cotton towels and DFTowel microfiber towels. Something bought at Walmart or Pep Boys is something I would never use. A light touch is all that is necessary as well. I've seen people washing their cars so hard you'd swear they were trying to sand it.

Brand new and you have swirls? Definetly dealer induced......Quit trying to hide them, you need to minimize them or better yet, get rid of them. Try Meg's #80 to start with or Four Star SMR, step up to 83 DACP if your not satisifed with the 80. Oh, invest in a PC 7424 for ultimate results.

Should I remove all the Zaino I have on there with Dawn again and restart the process? I didn't use Z5 the first time.

*I* recommend removing the swirls and reapplying your Zaino.

Dawn won't remove Zaino. If you are planning to buff out the swirls don't worry about the Zaino, the abrasives will remove it when you buff. After you buff it, wash with Dawn to remove the residue and then apply a couple of coats of the Z-5.
