I have a 93 LT1 and the opti crapped out. I heard about venting through vacuum lines to make it like the 95-95 set up, but it seems like a lot of work. I also heard I could buy a Borg warner c400 but would have to cut into it. Does anyone out there know of a way to fix this problem without spending $700 or having to build a part. I live in South Florida so it is always raining. this is a problem with the opti. would converting my cap to a vented vacuum cap fix this?

 

Putting a vented cap on will help. MSD sells one now, check out the latest Summit catalog.
