'98 Z71 vs Neon w/ roof scoop

The other night i was following a riced out bright orange neon (roof scoop, big wing, loud exhaust, busted up front bumper). I followed him for a while and he kept taking off fast and revving his car. I was driving my Z71 ext cab with a few friends in it. So we pulled up to a stop sign and he turned right... I followed he started taking off fast so i floored it and swung over in the left lane (as i swung over i heard him downshift probably into 2nd) Then i walked by him NO PROBLEM passed him with ease. Me and my friends were glad that guy with the neon wanted some.... we all needed a laugh.

Nice kill. Reminds me of the time I beat a riced out civic in my moms Mercury Villager.

the best part is knowing the kid that has the riced out neon and being able to listen to all of his excuses the next day

Just because there for a while everyone seemed to be obsessed about what DA they were racing at. I guess it made everyone feel better cause the times they were getting.

What?
Some people:
1) post the DA they ran at, like I do
2) know the DA but don't care
3) know what it is, but don't know how to calculate it
4) have no idea what it is or how it affects a motor

When was this supposed obsession?

Re: '98 Z71 vs Neon w/ roof scoop

That reminds me of when i had my old 1989 jeep cherokee. I was at a stop light when a newer civic pulled up and was reving his car at some girls in a truck in the turn lane. So being the guy i am started reving my i6 (couldnt really hear it but he got the idea). As the light goes green he chirps 1st and were off and dead even,he chirps second and to my surprise i was pulling on him and hard too. All my jeep had to make it perform any better at all was a k and n filter and it was a 5spd,and to make it even worse was the 31x10.5 it had to turn too?
