Roll cage pics

Well what a pain that was. Bought the front half kit from Wolfe. Already had an 8 point in it from Strope Speed Shopp. Needless to say they didn't mesh that well only because the 8 point was put in at a slightly different angle so we had to do quite a bit of extra notching and fab work. We also added an extra bar in the roof halo. Let me know what you think.

BTW, nobody has to tell me that zip ties are not an accepted way to mount a parachute release lever Just checking the reach on it.

I don't think the zip ties will be an acceptable method of attachment for the chute release lever

I think it turned out great, but I am biased. I can't wait to see this thing on the track.

Later.

Re: Roll cage pics

Maybe I'll just make you ride in the car to pull the lever for me

You trust your own work don't you?

Looks good to me. I like the way the front of the halo bar is designed. It's forward of the sun visors yet is bent to stay high up towards the window.

Re: Roll cage pics

Thanks. What do you think of the bars that run to the main hoop. Are they too low? That's as far as we could go with the pre-bent bar but I'm a little worried about it.

Re: Roll cage pics

The halo/a-piller bar that attaches to the main hoop? Looks fine to me. That's about where my halo bar is attached. I have a Jegs kit. My halo bar wraps around the roof line and the a-piller bars attach to the halo bar. My halo bar has bends at the ends that allow the T-tops to be removed. The handles just clear the bar. This is about the best pic I have of my cage but the t-tops are in so you can't see the halo bar.
