centerline convo pro's

Is anyone running these and did you have any problems with them fitting?
What is your backspacing and do you have any idea what they weigh?

Thank
Tom

Re: centerline convo pro's

If you order the fronts in 15x4 with the larger backspacing (I think its 2 3/4" they don't have the "convolutions") they will tuck under the front fenders nicely. They rears are another story. I had 15 x 8.5s with the 5" backspace (which is the biggest they offer). If you run an ET street the tire will be flush with the rear quarter. If you run a DR (275 50 15s) the side wall will hang out about an inch or so and, imho, does not look too good, plus you get kicked up road dirt all over the side of you car.

The plus side is that for LT1 car applications there are no mods at all required, no caliper clearancing, etc...a true bolt on. They look great from the side....If only Centerline would make a custom backspace...6.5" would be perfect....

HI Alan,

Thanks for the reply. What size ET Street did you run?
By any chance do you have any pictures?

I have some Steel wheels right now that I run slicks on that stick out pretty far. I only use them at the track so it's ok.

Thanks
Tom

Re: centerline convo pro's

I personally never ran the ETs, just the 275 50 R15 BFG DRs on the 15x8.5...I have pictures, but my wife will have to find them...Those with ETs that I've seen I think were the 26x10.5s...they were not the 11.5s, and they looked OK because the side wall has very little buldge...the radial tire buldges out pretty far.

If you are strictly looking for function get the fronts in the 15x4 with the bigger backspace and pick up some 16x8 factory wheels for the ETs/slicks, etc...you'll save 40 pounds off of the front and will help your 60s, ET, and speed....Maybe if enough of us lean on Centerline they'll make a bigger backspace...6-6.5" would be great!!! If you want looks and function, your only real choice is to cough up some $$$$$$$$$ for Bogarts ($1250ish)

Re: centerline convo pro's

Thanks Alan,

Ya, the Bogarts are up to about $1400 now. I have Fiske wheels on the car and I'm having a hard time spending that much money just to lighten up the car for the track. I don't like the looks of the Bogarts as well.

Thanks
Tom
