'93 t56 to '94 t56 swap question

I am putting a '94 t56 into my '93 z28. I was wondering if I need to do anything with the skip shift solenoid (93's dont have it) since I have nothing to plug into it. Also wondering if my speedometer is going to work and what I'll need to do to fix it (93's get the speedo reading differently). Is it possible to correct for a differently geared rear the same way that the rest of the 94+ guys do it?

I have a '95 T-56 in my '92 Z, and the skip-shift plug is empty - no problems. Just leave the solenoid in place and forget about it.

Can't really help you on the speedo - I have a converter box to make the T-56 interface with my speedo. If the 93's and 94's really do have different pickup systems, you may need something similar. I'm sure someone will have the answer on this for you.

Good Luck

Re: '93 t56 to '94 t56 swap question

i put a m29 in my car a few years ago. it is a 96. (manual conversion) when i bought the pigtails for the vss the parts were the same so no problem there. i believe the skipshift only energizes when the computer commands it. so at rest it should not effect you.you will have to get your computer fixed due to the change in ratios in the tranny. pcmforless did mine.
