stock bottom end? bad idea?

stock bottom end? bad idea?
I was looking at getting a procharger p1sc or even the d1sc (can crank it up if I ever do build my bottom end) for my car. Is running boost on a stock bottom end a bad idea? Plus what about my fuel system (stock pump from 99 Z-28 but I am running an FPR w/braided lines to the fuel rail).
