How to make interior smooth for painting.

How do i smooth the interior pieces for painting. like the pieces around window controls and things like that. do you sand and then primer before paint. ar is there like a filler primer you can use. if sanding what grit to use.

I just sanded, then wet sanded. Then used sandable primer,then sanded of course then primered again. painted and clearcoated. I like it but it takes a while. But that assures you of a good outcome

what grits did you use for the sand paper.

you can check out my cardomain site on page 8 on how I painted mine...and check out the page that says "MODS 2" to see the result....some says, I went overboard on the way I painted it, but that's how I did it. some don't like the color theme, but I like it...and I guess that's all that matters...if you have any question let me know. lates.
