should the rubber strip that scratches window be replaced on 98-up cars
should the rubber strip that scratches window be replaced on 98-up cars
On my 95 Formula, the left window had developed some of those famous scratches from the rubber strips with felt going bad and so I replaced them with the new type that GM put on the newer cars, and have not had a problem since. Before installing them I noticed they looked much better, but still looked as though after a few years they might wear through again and still scratch the window where there was some metal. So my question is--do any of you guys with the newer designed ones (I think installed on 98-, but could be wrong) find this problem, or is it recommended to just install new ones after 4-6 years. I just hate to see this problem happen again, as I am now looking for an LS1
