he had a set of silver zr1 wheels for sale which he said came from a 99ss. he said that they were an 8-9 out of 10. he also said the finsh was close to perfect with a few light scratches that cant be seen from one foot away. he proclaimed the only imperfection was one wheel had one inch of curb rash. i went ahead and sent him $460 for the wheels. i recieved them this morning and was very dissatisfied. every rims is nicked all to hell. the one with curb rash was more like 3-4 inches and the paint on the edge is also coming off. one of the rims has been refinished. one of them rims isnt even GM, it is aftermarked and is very different looking and it is obvious. it just doesnt match at all. a couple of the center caps also look like a different color. i havent balanced them yet because i was hoping for my money back but they have several weights on them so i bet the will have trouble balancing, he said they should be ok. my biggest complaint is the aftermarket rim. i emailed him with my case and he refuses to refund my money or just give me part of it back. im a very honest person and have sold and bought many items on the board. recently i sold an item and the buyer wasnt happy so i sent him 75% of his money back and let him keep it. i really should be refunded and he can have the wheels back. he said just put them on the car and ill be happy. i will not put these rims on my 10 year old car. i told him i would post this because he wont make things right. i trusted him because he had a high post count. to make these look like anything will cost me at least $200 to have them powdercoated.
