Dude, I'm gonna have to do the same thing with my '95 Z28. For $950 I'd jump on that **** quick.

That sounds fairly reasonable if it includes labor. Still a bit high but I don't think thats a bend me over price.

if you got a lope in the idle, the hot cam lifts higher than a stock cam and the idle jumps for a instant. Could also be your timing though, but then again lt1's you can't adjust the timing.

$950 is a very good price. Mine was $1200 to have rebuilt. I loved it when it was rebuilt though.

make sure this guy knows what he's doing, I have had several trans rebuilt ranging from 750 to 1200 bucks and they all broke, after the rebuild, I had a stout engine with them, but they said thy could make it last, even under warranty sucks cause its a pain to keep going back. Never, and I mean never will I have a shop rebuild another, I'd rather spend the extra money and have a company that knows what they're doing like Art Carr. These transmissions are so weak, they need good parts. So make sure this guy can do it right the first time.

trans

I was quoted $1400 up here in CT, looks like I'll just shelf it for now and find a used '94 4L60E. Trannys do not like heat!

Good luck!
