?'s about 18's

I'm looking to buy rims soon for my T/A. I would like to put 18's on the back and 17's up front. I would like to know if the rims would rub in the front or the back with stock suspention. also how big of a tire can i fit on a 9.5" rim.

thanks,
D

I have 18" at all four corners. They fit fine up front with no problem. But I did have to put a lower part of the inner fender on the rear. I have 265/35/18 on 18x9.5 up front and 295/35/18 on a 18x9.5 on the rears.

Rubbing wont be an issue. Ive seen F-Bods with 19s and no rubbing. Cheapest place.. try looking in the for sale section on LS1Tech.com. They have them for sale all the time there for really good prices.

One thing that is very important to remember. It's not the height of the wheel it's the combined height of the wheel and tire together. The important thing here is the width of the wheel and tire and the backspacing of the wheel.

I'm running 18x9.5 with a 56mm offset with 245/40/18 all the way around on an Eibach 1.5" drop and no rubs looks like next time I will definately go wider

You could just put some wider tires on there and gain about two inches worth of width.

What is THE widest combination of front and back. 18*10.5 on the front and 18*11's on the rear?

I don't mind folling the rear lip

Whoa you said it....I'm extremely pissed at myself for cutting cost and putting 265s on my 18x9.5 Z06s up front because they offer very little lip protection and leave too much from my liking exposed. 275s are perfect width and I love them on the back but I can't begin to imagine how undersized 245s are!

I had to remove my bumps stops from the rear to make the 18x9.5 with Corvette backspacing specs fit.
