First off, COBRA Rs going on a Trans AM

Second, to have the car drive good at all you are going to need to upgrade the stock shocks. The Bilstein HDs are going to be the best for those springs. If you ahven't bought those springs yet, I would reconsider.
There is hardly any suspension travel with those springs. They are so compressed, to achieve the 2 inch drop, that when you hit a dip/bump in the road the springs cannot complety support the car.

Oh, don't get me wrong, no setup looks better than the sportlines. They give such an agressive stance. I have my Hals slammed in the front also, at least a 2 inch drop. Just go with some good shocks and you should be fine.

I've run my sportlines on the stockers for about 1k now and the ride is fine.. i am expecting them to wearout like no other but i am impressed with the ride and all.. Personally i dont think they are low enough but i guess thats why im going to go with a gw/eibach coilover setup later.. Good luck with your decsion

I like the Cobra R's...ON A MUSTANG! Some things in life just shouldn't happen, like using Mustang parts for a cosmetic enhancement on an F-body. I like the way women's lingerie look, that doesn't mean I'm gonna put some on though!
